In maharashtra you can do scuba diving at Malvan. Which is famous in india for same reason. ANother option is goa.

You can try scuba diving in Goa or in Kanyakumari.. In Goa the price is around 2000-2500 per person. I m not aware about the prices in Kanyakumari though.

On mainland India you can learn Scuba Diving at Murudeshwar. There are a couple of dive shops. My friend had got a very good instructor. She was this young Australian girl with lots of experience in the field.

Hi Roshan you can go for Tarkali (coastal Konkan Region). Famous for Scuba diving and good beaches to cover . Talashil is one of best beach for doing Scuba.

The Andaman Islands and Lakshadweep Islands are the best locations of scuba diving in the country in terms of visibility. (Although seasonal, diving is year round).
Netrani Islands is generally termed as the best diving in mainland India. (Seasonal).
Pondicherry (Year-round) comes a close second in the mainland. Other options involve Dwarka, Ratnagiri, Malvan, Goa, Kozhikode, Cochin, Rameshwaram, Mahabalipuram, Chennai, Vishakapatnam and Shillong.
Metro cities such as Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune also have pool session options available.
