Andaman is purely an island type which has lots of water sports, which you cannot expect in Pondicherry. Visiting Pondicherry is like experiencing the culture, french buildings, seashore stay and local food. It's a budget trip.

There shouldn't be a doubt about this. If budget is not a concern, Andaman is far far better than Pondicherry (Puducherry). Pondicherry, according to me is a place where you can go and just chill on a budget. I would short similar places in following order:
1. Andaman & Lakshadweep
2. Goa (South Goa)
3. Kerela
4. Pondicherry
5. Mahe (Small and less traveled place.Although on the other side of India, it comes under Pondicherry)

I would suggest you Andaman bcoz its beautiful place.it is little bit costly bt they enjoyed lot.second u can go kerla next Goa next pondicherry.

I can surely say that ANDAMAN is the best place to have a Honeymoon trip.. and they might have a lot of fun in beaches and water sports which u can't experience in pondicherry.. pondicherry is the also one of the best place to hangout to feel the culture,heritage, seafood and know about French architecture So my suggestion is ANDAMAN is the best place...and u need to hold some extra money as compared to pondicherry

Choices are good, but if they love beaches andmaan is the best and Pondicherry are good with cultures.

I have been to Pondicherry for many times and have never been to Andaman. But still Andaman is the best option between the two.

HI Rohit, Pondicherry can be covered in 2 days, less places to visit.Andaman needs atleast 6days and there are lots of places to visit, and is a best destination to relax.. go Andaman if you have time.
