Hi Shweta, To reach Lansdowne at a cheap cost you can take Garhwal Express from Old Dehi Junction in the morning. Places to visit in Lansdowne - Bhulla Lake, Tiffin top, St John's Church, St Mary's Church, Bheem Pakora, Manwaring View point. You can stay at GMVN Tourist Hotel Lansdowne which will be cheap and also safe at the same time.

Sorry i missed out Mussoorie. You can board the Mussoorie Express from Old Delhi leaving at night. From Dehradun take a shared cab to Muddoorie. Places to visit - Kempty falls, Gun hill point, Radha Bhawan, Lord Everest's house, Bhatta fall, etc. You can stay at GMVN Mussoorie again for decent price and very safe too.

For dehradun you can take upsrtc a/c bus from kashmere gate ISBT.you can book ticket online on upsrtc site which will cost you around 400 and will take 4-5 hours to reach. You can also take overnight journey in mussorie express from old delhi railway station. However you shouldn't travel by train as the dehradun railway station is closed due to construction. For staying in mussorie, you can stay at natraj palace hotel which is budget friendly and location is also good. For lansdowne you can take bus from ISBT to reach kotdwar. From kotdwar you need to change bus for lansdowne which is 45km away from kotdwar. You can stay at GMVN guest house at top n top point..however that will be costly for solo traveller and also check the availability on call before booking.

If you are coming from delhi then take a bus to kotdwara. You can also take a bus to dehradun then to kotdwara via haridwar but it will take more time. so better option will be direct bus to kotdwara. From kotdwara you can take a bus or sumo or taxi or private car for Lansdowne. There's a lake, some valley points, some temples, army museum, Church, bakery, etc. There's a tarkeshwar temple which is in a different route then Lansdowne. Approx. 5-10km before Lansdowne, there's 2 roads divided, one goes to Lansdowne and another one goes to Tarkeshwar temple.

Hi, Shweta! Lansdowne and Mussoorie are the kind of destinations that can be easily explored in around 2 days. Kotdwar is the nearest major city with a railway station, about 41 km from Lansdowne. From Kotdwar, the rest of the distance can be covered only by road in a shared jeep/taxi as the bus services are very limited. If you wish to visit Mussoorie, Dehradun is the nearest major city with airport and railway station at around 30 km. However, with Dehradun Railway Station being closed for the next three months, Haridwar junction is the next nearest railway station to Mussoorie. The most popular way to reach Mussoorie is by taking a bus or taxi, which are easily available from nearby cities like, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Haridwar, Delhi, and others. There are many good hotels to stay in Lansdowne and Mussoorie, but since you are a budget traveller, we'd recommend going through the following Tripoto links to know more about the easy-on-pocket accommodations in both the destinations: For Lansdowne: https://www.tripoto.com/trip/lansdowne-the-land-of-mighty-garhwals-587671d0d2169 For Mussoorie: https://www.tripoto.com/travel-guide/mussoorie/hotels Hope it helped!

Rishikesh is hands down the place to be at for its relative peace compared to other touristy places in uttarakhand. we got down at ramnagar station from delhi, going upwards stopping at jim corbett national park, nainital and ranikhet and back to ramnagar station to catch a train to haridwar, then road to Rishikesh, then mussorie and dehradun.
