Post new question
Hi. I am planning to drive (rental car) from Amritsar and cover Dharamsala, Kangra and Dalhousie and return to Amritsar. Are the roads decent enough? Anything particular that I must be aware of? Will have my wife and daughter with me. Thanks in advance!

Night driving should be avoided.

Yeah these roads are smooth enough to drive on, if you have experience of driving in the hills

Yes road conditions good to drive, only difficult on snow covered roads if found, but there are very less chances of it.

Roads in Himachal and Punjab are good so, I don't think it will be an issue.

Yes roads are pretty good. avoid driving after 6-7p.m. since it is snowing heavily in most of the upper regions of himachal, you really need to have experience in driving in snow. rest, nothing to worry. good luck
