The first route is much safe for there are not much rains on Karnataka route. Coming to second route, Sathyamangalam and Coimbatore might give rains so if you are planning this route kindly check the weather.
UpvoteCommentEnd of December has no rain or downpour on Coimbatore and Sathyamangalam route. So option 2 is an ideal route. Road condition is good though at Sathyamangalam for sometime it might be bumpy, otherwise option 2 is the right choice for your travel during end of December.
