Hey Sambhav, Karnataka has one of the most widespread public bus systems in the country. State run KSRTC buses are easily available throughout the day. Just hop on to a local bus to get to your destination without shelling out a bomb! Have a great trip! :)

You can take private jeep from chikmanglur. you can also join some trekking groups which mostly go on weekends.
