Hey, There are so many attractions in calangute like beaches, church. You can also book goa customized package through tripoto platform.

Both options are doable. I wouldn't suggest second one thou bcuz you can easily reach madgao from calangute in time even with public transportation.

You are staying at good place. Baga beach is next to this place. Also, you can explore many food options and churches. You can g to anjuna beach and flea market one day which is 9 Kms from there and also you should go to fort and sequerium beach which is around same distance. "please visit Marina shacks and Lao chaos " in Baga beach.

Yes, you can do that just get down to thivim(prior station to madgaon) station while going as it is nearer to calangute. In North do visit anjuna beach and flea market. if you want to do watersports then go to vagator beach as it is less crowded than baga and calangute. if you want to visit famous spots like old Goa church, Dona Paula etc. contact your hotel, there are private buses available with mere 300 400 charges per person, will take you to some 6 7 spots in a day all around panjim.
