Myanmar was known as Myanma. Nay pyi Taw is the capital city. Surrounded by Andaman sea, Malay Peninsula, it was also called as Burma. Mount Popa, Shwedagon pagoda, Bagan palace, inle floating gardens, Ngapali beach, MacLeod island, Kandaegyi park, Mingun temple, Gem museum, Sardar cave are places to visit.
Kyaiktiyo, Yangon, Taunggyi, Mergui archipelago are some unexplored spots. Trekking, mountain climbing, whitewater rafting and kayaking are some must try adventures. Don't miss on biting Burmese biryani, khaosay noodle, Thai mixed platter, grilled fish, Burmese falooda and local tea. Best time to visit is between October to May.

I feel Myanmar is a disturbed place since outbreak of civil war there, ensure before booking that it’s safe for tourists.
