Hi, Delhi to mussoorie can be done in a day and if you traveling solo kindly make sure you have basic checks with regards to your car done, all required emergency nos available, spare puncture kit, tyre inflator, tyre conditions. You will be going uphill from dehradun, so till dehradun you should not face any issues roads are pretty good. Post dehradun you have to start uphill climb and road to mussoorie has many hairpin bends so be alert and drive carefully. Give way in case you have doubts. Safety is not an issue on the entire stretch. You could stop at dehradun, or hardwar directly at mussoorie. Lot of good places to eat. Fuel pumps all the way but still do top up before you start uphill climb to mussoorie. If your hotel is booked please do check on parking in mussoorie and if you have doubts ask them if there help can park the car since the roads are narrow and parking there is an art. Safe travel and drive carefully.

1. Book from reputed website or if u have contacts use them 2. Keep emergency nos handy 3. Share details of cab with your relatives and friends 4. Plan the stopover if needed 5. Keep medicine and cash handy 6. Cabs will be costly in hills so plan ur return as well properly.
Hello, yes it was not clear if you taking a cab or self drive. If you are taking the cab please make sure you book from right agency and rates are negotiated. Taxis in hilly areas are usually on a costlier side so plan accordingly if you travelling solo. Checklist I mentioned was specifically for self drive.
Hi... day after tomorrow is Shivratri. if I am not wrong. roads may be affected by this because of kawaad yatra this highway maybe blocked. start your journey in morning so till the evening you will be reached you can take a break somewhere near roorki or muzzafarnagar or saharanpur. check google map before starting your journey. don't go dehradun through haridwar. go through saharanpur route it would be fine. it's less crowded & well maintained. if not much important try to postpone your plan for one or two day. because of Shivratri festival.

Kindly take Dehradun road which is absolutely safe. If you start early you could plan early reaching. Before starting do have a thorough checklist and see if your car is in very good condition. As you climb the hills, do roll down the windows, switch of a/c and blow horn at every hairpin bend.

Hi sorry if i misinformed. I am taking a outstation cab [from one of the reputed centers/website] as it will be better for flexible hours. So does the check list remains the same or would you add anything else to the advice ?
