Most of the travellers do not prefer traveling during Monsoon. But there's different charm of visiting different parts of India during downpour. Coorg, Alleppey, Cherrapunji, Wayanad, Orchha, Udaipur, Munnar, Shillong, Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar, Kodaikanal, Valley Of Flowers Uttarkhand.

Hi Munaf, I'm from Goa and have traveled across the Western Ghats a lot. Thus, I know a few good places to visit in Monsoon (near western and southern India) and thus sharing it here: 1. Goa - Dudhsagar waterfalls trek, Kulem-Goa -Hivrem waterfall trek, Valpoi-Goa 2. Around Mumbai-Nashik-Lonavala-Pune -Harihar Fort -Tringalwadi Fort -Devkund Waterfalls -Kalsubai -Malshej Ghat -The route to Lonavala -Khandala -Andharban Forest Trek -Matheran 6. Kerala -Wayannad (although it can be a little dangerous in extreme monsoons) -Munnar (Again, not recommended in extreme monsoons) 7. Karnataka - Dandeli I have had some fantastic experiences at all these locations in Monsoons and have captured a few special moments in the form of blog posts below. I'm sure it will give you a clearer picture as well as motivate you to travel to these locatons. http://bit.ly/places-in-western-and-southern-india Please feel free to reach out in case of any queries.
