Now a days in many tourist spots, there are shared hostels for younger generation. These types of hostel starts with 99/- INR only. You can check on google and even ask locals for such hostels or places. Thank you

zostels/hostels are best when traveling solo...they are very cheap...
also there are many home stays also which you can book directly after reaching your destination... because most of the homestays are not mentioned/published in websites...
