Thank you
Known as spiritual capital of India filled with lot of must visit places, shrines and museums, two full days are much needed to explore this town. However you could also plan for a day extra to shop and taste best Varanasi cuisine.

Thank you
If you're in a rush two days are okay. I'd say, three days if you want to see everything and also things around Varanasi like Sarnath

The things to do in Varanasi are boat ride in Ganga during sunrise. Boat ride during the Ganga aarti in evening. Roaming around the labyrinth like narrow streets besides the ghats to see the temples and try the local cuisine. Visiting the Sarnath Archeological complex, temple and museum there. Visiting Ram Nagar fort and museum. Visiting Bharat Kala Bhavan in BHU. Visiting various temples of importance. These places can be done in couple of days at a rush, but the point is that you should enjoy and understand these places at normal pace rather than just rushing to complete. Thus I would say that 4 days are not too much of time to stay in Varanasi unless you are just visiting places rather than being there

Varanasi should not be rushed is what I believe. Have good three to four days and absorb the vibe. Day 1: Sunrise at ghats, boat to Assi ghat and visit all temples like Tulsi Manas Mandir, Aadi Shakti Mandir, new Kashi Vishwanath, Sankar Mochan, and Shiva Temple at Kedar Ghat. Enjoy street food and have some rest. Visit Dashawamedha Ghat in the: evening for Gangaa Aarti. Go little early for a good spot. Enjoy the boat ride afterwards again. Day 2: Explore Sarnath and Ashok Stupa in the day time. In the evening, Head to Manikarnika Ghat and Nepali temple on nearby Lalita ghat. You may want to see Gangaa Aarti again Day 3: Visit Kashi Vishwanath temple and Kal Bhairav temple. Hop around many unnamed temples, the market area , shop or soak in the vibe. Day 4: Explore that aspect of Kashi which you find close to your heart, music, Akhadas, meeting quaint people or the local ones whatever you feel is interesting to you. Many true saints have blessed this soil. so may be explore the placesfootfalls. Just have a lazy and leisurely day to yourself footfalls

That's even better!
You can not explore Varanasi in few days or a month because there are so many things to explore here but if you are planning a trip to this city I suggest you for atleast for a week, then you'll be able to explore and experience this city lifestyle, food, streets and major temples.
