Almost Every hotel has there own services to Patong beach which is free of cost. As I was staying in The Ashlee plaza Hotel which has own cab service to beach. Else it's better to walk to your hotel from patong beach by doing shopping.

Hotels will provide with the free drop facility to the beach. But than you need to go according to their time. Instead opt for tuk tuk which is cheaper. U can even bargain with them. Have fun

Take a tuk tuk ( advice don't take the tuk tuk which approach you ) download Google translate and speak little bit of their local language. so that they know they ain't fool you

Commute by tuk tuks if possible. the cabbies there charge whatever prices they like. they would try and show you city map too to get more money out of you. bargain with cabbies for reasonable fares.
