Stay in hostel, use public transport and in sam dunes choose to stay under open sky rather than in tents and bargain hard with camel dealers.

how to plan a low budget camping in the desert?
once u reach jaisalmer, go for a stay at Sam sand dunes which will cost u around 2000k depending on the travel agent from whom you are booking the safari... this 2k includes jeep safari, camel safari, night stay at dunes, cultural program at night, dinner and next day breakfast... some agents may charge you extra for taking you to Sam sand dunes from main city... From Hanuman chauraha you will get reasonable package (near bus stand). for Jaisalmer darshan hire a cab or auto... it may cost you around 1000β‚Ή per head... happy exploring... πŸ˜€

Book your tickets right now, Use local transportation and stay in hostels or try Couchsurfing. Food is not very expensive in Jaisalmer. If looking for those desert safaris and stay then research wisely or know the actual costings before booking, cause one can loose some extra bucks there!

Staying at a hostel would save you a lot of money. Zostel is a good choice

Choose a home stay in the old town or inside the fort. You can even choose hostels for accommodation to save on money. Walk around to cover the local sightseeing.

Stay in a Hostel, Rent a scooty from there. This saves up huge amount of money in accommodation and transport. You can choose the food as per your budget. Keep one thing in mind that there are no charges to visit the Jaisalmer Fort but for the Jain temples or Havelis you have to shell out between 50-200 in each place.
