Hi, if you want to reach Spiti from Dehradun by public transportation you can follow this.. 1. Take a local HRTC/ Volvo bus from Dehradun to Manali. It'll take around 8-10 hours and cost 1000 for Volvo. 2. Take a local HRTC bus from Manali to Kaza in the morning. You'll reach Kaza in the evening and it cost around 400 rupees. Dehradun to Manali and then the morning bus to kaza is the shortest and cheapest.. from kaza you can take the bus to Manali and get down at gramphoo.. which is before rotang and take the next leh bus..

• Reckong Peo to Kaza (Spiti Valley)
• HRTC morning bus to Kaza (7–8 hours).
Location: The road is scenic and was on the Hindustan-Tibet Road.
Option 2: Manali Route (Leh Recommended)
Dehradun to Manali:
Board an overnight bus from Dehradun to Manali (10–12 hours).
Vigihal is also accessible via local buses which can be taken from Dehradun ISBT or from any of the private operators.
Manali to Kaza:
HRTC runs buses to Kaza (9-10 hours) from June to September.

BOOKING: Book buses in advance, particularly during the peak season (May–September).
Random Transit Points: If the transit requires a stopover, sleep overnight at locations like Shimla, Reckong Peo, or Manali.

From Spiti to Leh
Kaza to Keylong/Manali:
Return either with HRTC bus to Manali or by share taxis to Keylong.
Keylong/Manali to Leh:
During summer months (June–September), buses and shared taxis run on the Leh-Manali Highway.
Suggestion: If you have an extra day, take the Kalka-Shimla Toy Train for a scenic and unique experience. Travel from Dehradun to Kalka by train (5–6 hours), then board the Toy Train to Shimla (5–6 hours). From Shimla, continue your journey to Spiti via Reckong Peo as planned.
