Yeah you can publish a trip blog with only photos doing much of talking along with as much as description you wanna give ... it's upto you to select which way you wanna present your blog ... day wise is only possible in trip blog and not in photoblog
You can go by publishing a normal trip...just don't insert too much text,..it's always quality over quantity

Better to go with publishing trip. In photo blogs chances of getting points are little low.

Hi, photo blog is for uploading photos with limited description. if you would like share your experience and describe about the photos., upload a trip and start writing up on the pics you upload with location. Happy blogging..!!!!
