Gokarna gets a lot of rainfall in the month of August. Gokarna is at its greenest due to the rains. But, you must carry good rainwear to stay dry and enjoy Gokarna. There are plenty of vegetarian options in Gokarna. Best restaurants serving vegetarian food are Pai, Cafe 1987, Namaste Cafe and Prema. Om and Gokarna beaches are some of the best places to visit in Gokarna along with Sri Mahabaleshwar Temple, Mirjan Fort and Basavaraja Durga Fort.

It might still be raining in August and writer suggest. If you wish to cover the hidden gem beaches like god's own beach, small hell beach, nirvana beach and heaven beach you need to trek a lot. August month is not ideal for that, that's pretty much the only way to see them. But you can cover the usual spots namely paradise beach, om beach, kudle beach, Gokarna beach leisurely in 2 days.
