Hi Anishk, I would suggest you book hotels by yourself instead of going through agency.. And for going to one town to another use Kerela Super Fast Road Transport Corporation. I bet they are better than any other taxi service. They don't stop much and are really super fast. I went to Kerela for a family trip last to last year and i did all the booking by myself and it really saved a lot of money.. It is very convenient. You can do one thing, lookup for hotels in any hotel booking site and gather information online like what is the price of rooms and all and take the phone number and call by yourself. This is exactly what i did. When in Munnar i booked a local autorikshaw wala for site seeing, we were four people and he charged around 1200 i guess. Took us to almost all the tourist destination in Munnar, till the last stop where there is a tea garden at the border of Kerela and Tamil Nadu from Munnar side. Next day we took that KSRTC bus to Alleppy and i did the same thing. Only for boat house you have to book a package, which you'll get there only. The guest house guys can arrange that. You can repeat the same process almost everywhere in Kerela. Hope this helps you. Don't worry be brave and just ask people. They will definitely help.
