I am planning Arunachal and Assam in February. Is it a good time?. Can someone guide what all I can do in 5days? Like Day1- Visit this place , Day2 go there..etc. Also suggest "must visit" places here. Thankyou in advance.

Hey Satyam, Places to be visited on Aruncahal trip 1)Nameri National Park 2)Sela pass 3)Tawang monastery 4)Tawang war memorial 5)Bumla pass 6)Madhuri lake And if you are going by road from Guwahati to Tawang (which i would suggest) then 5days are not enough. Make it 8-10 days trip.

Nope Satyam,All places i have mentioned are not in Tawang. Two are enroute from Guwahati to Tawang. Actually it will take 2 Days to reach Tawang from Guwahati if you want to properly enjoy the road trip and don't want to miss anything.

Hello, 5 days trip to cover assam and arunachal is short. Its better to go to arunachal pradesh. Day 1 Guwahati-bhalukpong. Night stay at bhalukpong. Day 2 Bhalukpong - dirang. Day 3 After seeing dirang monastery head toward tawang via sela pass. Sela pass may be covered with snow but indian military works hard to clear it every time. Reach tawang by evening. Day 4 Tawang sightseeing like tawang monastery, madhuri lake etc Day 5 Head to bomdila Night stay Day 6 Bomdila monastery visit and head to guwahati. Cherish the moments you have spent and enjoyed in arunachal.

First of arunachal is totally a different trip you cannot cut it short. second, truly speaking of kaziranga i also visited with all the fascination but i found it totally waste of money. if you go inside the forest by elephant then you will get to see rhino otherwise nothing. manas national park in assam is superb and far better than kaziranga.it is adventures and an underrated destination.

I am going to Northeast in last week of december. Planning to cover meghalaya and arunachal pradesh. You can stay tuned for my blogs on my trip. As of now, from the research that i have done, feb should be a good time to visit assam and arunachal since there wont be much snowfall and roads should be open.
