Hello Vinitha, Here are a few things you can do in your long train ride: 1) Take a small bag that you can always keep with you, other than your main luggage. You can keep you toiletries, etc. in it. 2) Take some snacks with you that you can eat any time, for example chips, biscuits, etc. Food is very important. 3) Pack some magazines and books with you, if you like reading. 4) Make sure to pack a power bank. 5) Create some playlists of your favourite songs in your phone. 6) Take a small, comfortable pillow with you. It'll make it easier for you to sleep. 7) You can also make new friends and get to know new people. 8) Download some movies. 9) You can play game as well. Either in phone or laptop, that is if you're carrying one. 10) If you're a student, you can take study material along with you and if you work, well then you can take your work with you. 11) Last but not the least, enjoy the scenery and the train ride. Because you know what they say, "It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end." Also, don't forget to share your experience with us here on Tripoto. We'd to read about it. Safe travels!

Nothing much to worry about.. South is really safe than any other place.. Do check if the pantry is available or not.. I personally don't trust the train food.. I do take some bread jam mayonnaise with me.. try to book the top tier if in normal sleeper.. do make companies with the ones whom you feel safe like the families.. especially South Indian families

Just make sure that train has pantry or not. You should carry some snacks for the long journey. Also movies, tv shows, cards, power bank would help in passing time throughout the journey.

Hi Vinitha, I visited Goa on train through delhi which took about 40 hours this was the longest I covered, it's better to take enough snacks, eat only lunch and dinner from the pantry, carry enough movies and books to read, interact with people, carry cards as well.
