I am from Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad is foody city but this time you will not find every thing. Manek chawk is perfect place for foodie but it's closed because of corona. u can visit adalaj step well is not that far. also must visit atithi restaurant at bodakdev cross road for lunch if they started service. but many places are in contentment zone otherwise there is lal darwaja, delhi darwaja old Ahmedabad pol houses and old market everything is beautiful.

You must try Gwalia. Your wife will like Kaman and other snacks. You must have Athithi Dining Hall (Bodakdev) and Gowardhan's Thali. Then there are many Cafe's. But if you are a non vegetarian you should go to Kerala Restaurant called Four at S.G. Highway. For your children, Science City is the best you can do.
