Hi Saikat, November to June are the best months to visit Gurudongmar lake. This lake is 130 km away from Gangtok for which you need to stay in Lachen for one night and next morning you can leave for Gurudongmar. The roads are not in the excellent conditions but can drive up there.

Visit to Gurudongnar lake will depend on the weather conditions of that day. After reaching cafe 15000 (army cafe. Entry to Paradise path of lake),army men will tell whether you can go further or not.

Gurudongmar Lake is a high altitude lake. we went in april and even then it was freezing cold. during winters roads are mostly blocked . I won't suggest u going there in February.. see if you can postpone it to march or april. also, it completely depends on the weather conditions.

Brother june to november are the best time to visit this lake it may be 120 to 130 km from gangtok.
