Own car is also a good option. for stay many resorts are there other than govt tents. you can easily find online and contact directly there. also do some bargain. I just booked my stay for January at Rann Rajwadi resort. also like this namely toran resort, Rann homestay. keep in mind the distance from Rann. depends on the cost of resort. Don't expect for fancy food there. you will have typical Gujarati food so be prepare and enjoy local cuisine.
