Being solo if you can take package that would be good .. but if you are going second time thn u can manage without package as well .. and ya why going with flight .. try to explore by road .. bike or car because leh itself nothing, main fun is the route either via srinagar or via manali .. but i think manali route is close time being because of heavy rain fall .. if anything more you want to knw, can ask just came back last month by road ..

Hi Megha, reserve five days for Leh and surroundings. The places to visit in and around Leh are Nubra Valley, Turtuk, Pangong Lake, Khardung-La Pass and Hemis. They can be done on your own. But, since it is a last minute plan, you should consider the following package - https://www.tripoto.com/tour-packages/heavenly-ladakh-ads.

Hi Megha, Leh is a city and Ladakh is the region. So, the places I mentioned are in Ladakh region and accessible from the city of Leh.
You can get a bus service from Delhi to Leh and there you can hire a car or some other vehicle if you want. From Leh you can go to Khardungla top Nubra valley Turtuk then from Nubra you can go to Pangong tso lake few things you can see in Leh like war memorial and shanti stupa leh palace Magnetic hill, Gurudwara pathar sahib.

Hey Megha, I have been to leh ladakh recently and that too as a solo trip. I would suggest you to take package instead of managing everything from your own. You can book a flight for you from delhi to leh (it's cheaper comparatively to leh to delhi) and can come back via road. I have followed that same pattern in that case you can enjoy the journey both ways. The people in leh is very friendly and if you go solo also they will help you out with whatever you need. My another suggestion would be staying at ZOSTEL as you can find more solo travelers like you there and you can manage your trip with them. They have a scheduled plan for everyday. So in this way you can manage a budget trip. The road from leh to manali is beautiful. Else you want some more information you can drop me a message.

Thank you for your response Vandy. Can you give me an approximation of the budget to stick with for a one week trip to Leh Ladakh?
