South India is almost the best place to explore the nature.as you are going to Pondicherry Tamil nadu and Kerala are nearer to it.....so many attractive places to be visit in TN and KERALA....if it is helpful and want more details I am here to help you....

Goa and Pondicherry, both are paradises for beach lovers! Also, both are good places to see the remnants of colonialism. Goa has a lot many more beaches compared to Pondicherry. So if you have more no. of days to spend, go for Goa. But that means more expenditure as well. So if you have more days and more money, Goa is the go to place for a beach vacation. If you have less number of days and want to enjoy it to the fullest in lesser expense, go for Pondicherry! Both are great places. Happy vacay! 🙂

I suggest Goa. Pondicherry has 2-3 beaches, cafes, auroville and you can enjoy it probably in 2-3 days.
If you have a week or so, go to goa. Goa has lot of bagpackers hostels so your stays will be all sorted within 600 -700 Rs for a night. Rent a bike and go around the pristine beaches of South Goa. If have some more time then Gokarna is only a 3 hrs bus ride from Palolem beach.

Hi Pondicherry is better for solo traveling. Also it is less crowded and peaceful. You can easily get cheap accomodation there.

Hi Himanshu, I might be a bit biased to recommend Goa as I love that place. You'll find utmost flexibility on the cost as across Goa you'll find very pocket friendly options to some really expensive ones. Beach facing properties will surely be expensive. You could probably look up on various website
I don't think both the places are an option for solo travelling. both the places are the chill out places and you better go with your friends at these places. If among the two.. I would suggest you goa..

Exculidng your travel cost, I think you could both on a budget. Having said that, Goa has lot many things to see and cover compared to Pondicherry.

Goa is ma suggestion. Pondi has lesser to explore in every means..I agree that each place has it's own beauty,so if you're aren't really a portuguese fascinated, Goa Will be the better option
