Dehradun is a amazing city to travel..
if you are planning one day trip then visit robber's cave aka gucchu panni,FRI and sahastradhara, and if you are planning more than one day trip then try to visit mussoorie which is just 38-39kms far from dehradun.
you can go mussoorie by bus and taxi from dehradun, bus will cost you ₹50-100 and take 1hr 30 minutes to reach there and taxi will cost you ₹1000-2500.
P.s.: If you love to explore then go mussoorie picture palace bus stand and then take a walk for library chowk or rent a cycle to explore the mall road.
