It could be more better if you had mentioned your location. reason being, as you mentioned low budget. but still you could explore nainital if you want mountains (2day trip will cost you around 4k including travel, sightseeing, and good budget hotel. or right now you could go for Jaipur or any other places in Rajasthan also.

Firstly Congratulations to you I would recommend if it's your first time you should try going to a nearby place . assuming you to be traveling from Delhi I would suggest you can go to Tirthan valley : it's beautiful and has a lot of things to offers camping trekking waterfalls adventure activities Bir billing : easy to reach as direct Volvo buses run from Delhi to this place . budget travel if you want to do paragliding it will cost you 2500 ros for that rest you can manage with 1.5 to 2.5 k . I hope this is helpful to you have a nice trip !!

If you are interested in trekking then I would suggest you to visit www.indiahikes.com They have a very good treks organized at a cheap rate and with amazing experience. If not mountains then go to Udaipur via train, stay there in hostels for 2-3 days(probably include the day of Holi as well). You can get amazing hostels on www.booking.com
