As you might have heard it is the city of Lakes and the first destination should be the renowned Fateh Sagar. In brief, you can visit, City Palace, Nehru Garden, Chetak, Sukadiya Circle, Saheliyon Ki Badi, Sajjangarh, Badi Lake, Jagdish Temple and Ganhor Ghat. Apart from this, resorts in Udaipur are luxurious and depends on your budget. In terms of food, Dal Batti is the speciality but you may find good Punjabi food everywhere. Pani Puri, Aloo Chaat are also some speciality.
Most importantly do not forget to have a Cold Coffee at Fateh Sagar during Night time while hanging with your group on the boundary of the lake (The best experience).
It's a beautiful place. no doubt you are going to have so much fun. Start early morning at ghats heading towards Jagdish temple, City places if interested (carry student ID for discount if u have one), Sunset at ambrai lake/monsoon palace, karni temple. Go have fun and you will find much more once u step in.
Udaipur is a beautiful city. there are Karni Mata temple, city palace, jagdish temple, lake pichola sajjangarh fort, Rana Pratap Smarak, lok Kala mandal, where you can enjoy puppet show, saheliyon Ki bari, fateh Sagar lake. it will take almost 2days to complete the city tour.
This is a wonderful time to visit Udaipur. Plan for 3-4 days at least. Do visit Kumbalgarh and Haldighati for sure. You will get to know some facts that are no where in the literature. If your budget allows, do plan to visit Hotels that are middle in the lakes.
