Karnataka has one of the largest population of tribals in the country after North eastern states. since you reside in Mysore, I'll suggest you to explore places near HD Kote, you'll be able to interact with tribals which include Jenu kiruba, Beta kiruba, Soligas etc. Nevertheless, I remember going to few tribal schools as well in the same locality.
