Start with srilanka, bali and phuket and then maldives of you like beaches. In case of Mountains try European countries Switzerland and Norway.

It totally depends upon the type of trip you wanna take. For the starters you can go with Bali, Sri Lanka in case you wanna have a trip full of beaches but it rains heavily during October November in south east Asia. You can prefer UAE for now as they are open for international travels as soon as flight starts they are safer. Most safe countries nearby (Considering theft, scams etc ) are Singapore, UAE.
