The beautiful town of Tawang, also pronounced as Dawang has many sceneries to make your trip a picturesque one. However, what begins to define the area is its significance for Buddhist monks. Tawang is the place to go for monasteries, with the Tawang Monastery being the most popular one and extremely sacred for the Buddhists. Many no of sharing jeeps go to Tawang from Guwahati.For that you have to prebook one day before at any tourism office there because you will need ILP for entering into AP.

Not yet visited, but will be visiting this October 2019. If anyone is planning the trip around Mid October, and interested to team up, to alleviate the high travel costs, please do let me know. As of now,I am a Solo Traveller.
