If you want to experience Swiss like beauty and have a road trip of lifetime. Do a road trip from Port Elizabeth to capetown. 800kms covered in a day. Stay for 3-4 days in Capetown. Then return either via joburg or directly from cape. If not via road, you can opt for buses but hired car are best & secure way to travel in SA. South Africa offers a diverse range of attractions, from stunning landscapes and wildlife to vibrant cities and cultural experiences. Here's a suggested itinerary for an 8-10 day trip: 1. Cape Town (3-4 days): Explore the iconic Table Mountain and take the cable car for panoramic views. Visit the historic Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. Stroll through the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood with its vibrant houses. Spend time at the V&A Waterfront for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Drive along Chapman's Peak Drive for breathtaking coastal scenery. Relax on the beautiful beaches such as Clifton or Camps Bay. 2. Garden Route (3 days): Drive along the Garden Route, known for its lush landscapes and coastal beauty. Visit the Tsitsikamma National Park for its indigenous forests and Storms River Mouth. Explore Knysna, known for its lagoon, oyster farms, and the Knysna Heads. Stop at Plettenberg Bay for its beaches and outdoor activities. Take a safari at a private game reserve like Gondwana Game Reserve. 3. Johannesburg and Pretoria (2-3 days): Explore Johannesburg's cultural precinct, including the Apartheid Museum and Maboneng Precinct. Visit Soweto to learn about the country's history and Nelson Mandela's former home. Take a day trip to Pretoria and see the Union Buildings and the Voortrekker Monument. 4. Kruger National Park (2-3 days): Experience a safari in Kruger National Park, one of Africa's premier wildlife reserves. Go on game drives to spot the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhinoceros). Stay in one of the lodges within the park for a unique wildlife experience. Adjust the duration at each location based on your interests and preferences. Keep in mind that South Africa has much more to offer, and this itinerary provides a mix of urban, coastal, and wildlife experiences.
