Choose the Hampi Bazaar area as this area is comparatively cheap than another side of the river, for solo travelers this area is perfectly suited & the rent goes from Rs 200 up to Rs 1000. You may find homestay for less price if you can bargain. Rent of hotels increases in winter & falls in summer and rainy seasons. But if you choose to stay on the other side of the river, it will cost you around Rs 500 or above. And this place is best suited for family or solo girls travellers.

Hi...shouldnt be too expensive. An average hotel in Hampi should be available at 2000rs per night . Also you can take an overnight train from Bangalore to reach there . The Moped rental there should cost around 300-400rs.
