Hi Pooja, Here is the detail. There is no train facility from Bangalore to Ooty, suggest to take KSRTC bus. It may take 6hours to reach. Places to see in Ooty 1. Botanical garden 2. Boat house 3. Pykara lake
4.Ketti valley view
5. Bhavani lake
6.Rose garden
7. Doddabetta peak Places to see in Coonoor 1. Dolphin nose
2. Sims park
3. Lambs Rock
4. Beautiful Tea Estates You can easily take Heritage train from Ooty to Coonoor in the morning and comeback by evening. You can enjoy a scenic beauty of the Nilgiri Mountains. For food I recommend A2B which is there in the main market street of Ooty. Happy travelling !!!

Mode of Transport -
I would suggest that you take a direct Bangalore-Ooty overnight AC sleeper bus. There are many options both Govt operated Rajhamsa/Airavat Volvo services and private operators services. https://www.ksrtc.in/site/(You will need to create an account, 2 mins work!) https://www.redbus.in/Booking/SelectBus.aspx?busType=Any&doj=21-Nov-2014&fromCityId=122&opId=0&toCityId=254 Stay-
Choose hotel closer to the drop off point of your Bangalore-Ooty bus. Use Google Maps to check distance. Stay away from touts, tell them you have already booked a room. Alternatively, you can do your hotel room search after you arrive in Ooty. But that demands some time and sweat. Your call !! Bonus-
Carry a torch and warm clothes. If you are a thrill seeker, night walks in Ooty will be the spookiest experience for you. Buy homemade chocolates for your family and friends back home. Take a morning walk near Char Ring road before the tourists wake up. Preferably around 7 am. Enjoy tea and freshly fried vadas from the street vendors near the crossroads while watching the Ooty starts its day. You will thank me later. Good Luck!!!
