As for the equipments, since it's a beginners trek, i would be required some good woolens, torch, raincoat, some energy drinks if i need them...as per them, no trekking equipments as such is required

For beginners Triund trek from Mcleodganj is good choice. It is 3-4 hours trek with moderate difficulty. Equipments needed would be woolen clothes, hiking boots, torch, medicines etc.

Hi Tushar, Trekking is a great activity. I will advise you to start with a 7 days basic rock climbing course. Benefits- 1. You get a basic idea about mountains and the unwritten rules and codes followed by everyone. 2. Your fitness will improve. 3. You will get a first hand experience of walking into tough trails. 4. After you finish the course, you will get a diploma. This achievement will give you confidence and also prove a starting point in case you want to pursue it seriously later in your life. 5. You will get all the information at one place in a codified form. I started in a similar way by doing a rock climbing course in Nainital. The course fee is pretty nominal. You can read the details here- https://www.tripoto.com/trip/rock-climbing-at-nainital-5c3e1beb9b396

It depends on what kind of trek you are planning, snow treks you need sock, shoe, pole, good jackets, water bottle, rain coat, rain proof cover for bag, dry fruits, energy bars so much, if you're interested in 2days (weekend ) treks try bhimashankar, rajmachi, alang madan trek, harishchandragadh are medium treks for beginners, just need to carry sleeping bag, energy bars, pair of clothes, good trekking shoe. all the best
