Hi . if like to stay at a calm and less crowded place then go to South Goa .. it's beautiful, peaceful and safer then north goa.
the food there is delicious, trying taking a sea food platter on good bargain . if possible stay at the beach house.. I stayed at Aginda Beach .it's beautiful.. you will see mesmerizing view Early morning.
on first day u can visit panaji and enjoy the Cruise there and next day reach goa by day time and enjoy the dinner beach side or directly go to goa do some good shopping and second day early in the morning u can take the boat from the beach itself and go to see dolphins on dolphin rides ..they do take you to an island where u can click great pictures i.e. butterfly island /butterfly Beach... come back and go explore forts..
do visit dudhsagar water fall if possible.

It depends on what you're looking for. For a peaceful and relaxing stay, South Goa. If you want a nightlife and/or be close to historical places, then North Goa.

You can stay at Sai guru guest house, anjuna...it's safe and hosts are very helpful. Many places in North goa are nearby in evening you can visit curlies, and do shopping in flea market

Well just for a day I'll suggest you to go to south Goa. Beautiful place with a safe atmosphere. you'll feel relaxed. And it you want to go to a particular beach then book a hotel/resort near to tha beach so that you can spend most of time your at beach only. And if you are a casino lover then to visit Hyatt casino

For peaceful experience you must go to South Goa
otherwise visit north Goa and visit Bags beach and Tito's Lane
