    Monsoon is Paradise for Western part of India. you can visit Maharashtra, Karnataka even Rajasthan too. specially I can say visit western ghats.

    While it's raining on the cat in other parts of India, it's very pleasant in Kashmir. The snow has melted giving way to beautiful green pastures and clear skies. Monsoon winds are blocked by the might Pir Panjal ranges and hence July/aug are great months to explore Kashmir. (P.S. - in September you could also find apples in the orchards which will a sight to behold)
