Officially the trek is actually banned, as it involves trekking on the railway tracks which is illegal

Not sure if we get permission for individuals, but through trek operators, it's allowed starting October I am going there from the below on Oct 1 https://talesoftribes.com/dudhsagar-waterfalls-trekking-bangalore/ hope this helps
