Try June or July month...u will love monsoon experience in Goa.May is the hottest month so I will suggest u to avoid it.

Probably not due to heat. The idle season is from Mid Oct to Mid April.

Try October or November even April or math will be good , but if you don't want the crowd then avoid, October to March after that it's off season and you'll can enjoy Goa without the crowd
