Visiting Delhi between October to Feb is best. In August it will be hot and humid. During rainy season ( it will rain in August) traffic jams increases making traveling by road more time consuming. Though traffic jams can be avoided by taking metro.

Delhi is not best for traveling during May to August. Too hot, too humid and road blocks in Rainy season.

I visited in September.. that was quite hot.. so expect August to be hotter than that.
