Hi Sushmita, December should be the best time considering Rann Utsav is on! Plus the weather too is pleasant, infact it's cold! If you visit during Poornima(full moon day) you can be lucky to see the white dessert at its best beauty... It looks as if there was snow fall here as the sand shines in moon light! Happy Holiday!

If you want to experience the real beauty of this desert, I recommend you to stay on tents just carry some warm clothes. if you lucky enough to get the full moon view I bet you never forget that moment.

Tents are actually the best options to stay in Rann of Kutch, you will be closes to the flat salt beds you can roam around. There are some hotel options also available but they will be a little far.

Hey, for Runn Mahaostav or Runn of Kutch prefer staying in tents and camps ...this will go for the best. There are hotels but only issue is they are far away and during that time cost will be very high. Happy Planning..!! Happy Journey..!!
