Hey Pallabi, Yes, It is nice time to visit if you want to enjoy the snowfall and negative temperature. You can get camps as well as rooms at the top in Rs 500 per person. Oh, yes. absolutely!! but only if you're ready to trek through snow. Its a stunning view once you're at the top, no matter what the weather is.
Stay the night in their tents, you'll have a starry magical night and will wake up to the gorgeous Himalayas. Let us know how the trip was!!!!

It is pretty safe to trek Triund in the month of December. However, if you are a first timer or not used to for cold, it might be little challenging.
Keep the following things handy to make it easy to deal with the winter whispers- a good pair of warmers
proper Trekking Shoe
a Decent Jacket
Hand gloves and thick socks
Rain coat ( just for back up) Rest will be next level of super awesomeness :)

Best advice is avoid. If going in group then can try, but face difficult situation. Temperature will be in negative. Already it around -4 degree.

Triund is an easy trek in Himachal Pradesh that offers you an escape into the majestic Himalayas. Situated a few kilometres from Dharamshala at an altitude of 2828 m, it is a place perfect for trekking with amazing trails offering scenic views of the entire Kangra Valley. A trek to Triund is short and simple. It can be done from either McLeodganj or Dharamkot, which is 2 km ahead of McLeodganj. The first half of the trek is a gradually inclined walk with the last 2 km from Snowline Cafe which involves a vertical climb all the way till Triund. The evening sky from Triund is a sight in itself and is a good excuse for camping here at night.

T's worth mentioning that Triund trek is accessible throughout the year. However, December is a cold month, which also brings snowfall. Due to this, it's extremely important to carry warm clothes. Carrying a stick is highly recommended as it helps you stay the ground, and prevents you from slippering on the snow.
