Hampta Pass is not an easy trek. But it is definitely a popular one. Shepherds can be found grazing the meadows that fall on the way, but you cannot rely on their availability to figure out the trail. If you are a seasoned trekker, who has done plenty high-altitude treks and have sufficient equipment and maps to mark the trail, then maybe you can attempt Hampta without any guide. But it is always better to take a guide along.

Hi Somansh.. Hampta Pass is an easy-moderate difficulty trek. I have been there last year an thoroughly enjoyed it. However, it is not advisable to go there without a guide especially when you don't have much trekking experience as there is a possibility that you might loose trail in between an d land in trouble especially without any means of communication. I would recommend Indiahikes as they are the best in business. The arrangements are nearly perfect. Here is my blog on my Hampta Pass adventures: https://www.tripoto.com/trip/how-i-won-a-trek-to-hampta-pass-a-stunning-crossover-trek-in-the-himalayas-tripoto-indiahikes-5c11214b4bb5c
