Ther are a number of advantages: 1.its winter time you can experience snow. 2.mussorie is also called queen of hills so you will have fab time. 3.alot of places around to explore like dhanualti, george everest, mussorie lake, kentekky waterfalls and nag tippa.     Mussorrie is a good place for the travel freak, however there is nothing special to do in there during New Year. Better, you have a beach party at Goa.

    You can go to Rishikesh, The camp sites organizes new year party there. I don't think Mussoorie have these types of party but it's new year and it can be enjoyed anywhere. Mussoorie will be full with people and I'm sure there will be some celebration for sure.

    Since I'm doonite I can answer it well so it's a big no , because mussorie gets really overcrowded , but if u can afford to bear drive full of traffic which usually takes one hour from dehradun but on new year it takes about 3-4 hour plus ever single place is overloaded..
