Though best time to visit is between march to august, the weather in January is too cold filled with snow. Only a few places maybe based on heavy snowfall that day might be closed, else you could explore a lot in Kashmir in january.

From December to March, Kashmir remains covered in snow. So if you love snow, you'll love visiting Kashmir then!!
