Kedarkantha Trek (which is different from Kedarnath) is open in January. Expect heavy snow on the route and be prepared for it. Water-proof clothing and shoes are a must. There are many trekkers who trek to Kedarkantha in January too. So you can trek along with them for safety.

Kedarkantha is a winter trek in Uttarakhand, where you can see snow and the stunning view of different Himalayan peaks.
