Bali is comparatively cheap as you get alot of good accommodation options that are decently priced. There are far more activities to explore. Maldives is more luxe comprising of high-end resorts which after opting for full board will turn out to be expensive.

No Maldives is not cheaper than Bali.
It is slightly to much expensive than Bali. An average cost for a couple package to Bali from Delhi is approximately INR 1 lakh to 1.25 lakh including everything except Lunch & Dinner. & for Maldives Tour Package from Delhi one have to spend at least 1.25lakh for decent 4 or 5 star hotel with 2 night in Private Pool Villa. You can have luxury trips to both Bali and Maldives. It solely depends on how you plan your trip. A 4/5 days Bali trip can even be done within 45k for 2 pax, excluding air fares. And even cheaper if you choose to stay in hostels. In Maldives , if you are planning to stay in the main Island, it can be a budget trip. However if you want to stay in water villa, expenses will be on the higher side. My suggestion would be to fix a budget first and then look for the best possible itinerary!

Bali vs Maldives, in terms of cost Bali is more economical and for sure a cheaper option. With a minimum budget of USD 40-50 per day, i would say Bali would be a more economical option.

Maldives is generally considered as a luxury holiday destination, and as such can be quite expensive. Even though Bali also has luxury resorts that can cost quite a sum for travelers, they have a wider range of more affordable resorts and accommodation which you can choose from.
