With lot of crunch, crisis around the country there seems to be shortages in supplies. No doubt tourism is having a show down in Srilanka now. My advice would be to re think regarding planning a travel to Srilanka.

Hi. I travelled to Srilanka on the 2nd of April 2022 for a two-week tour. The situation as portrayed by media and the reality is different. As such for tourists, there is no issue and you can travel around the country. However, at some places, you might find powercuts for a few hours and while travelling on road, you will see queues for petrol and diesel. The people in Srilanka go the extra mile for tourists. I would suggest you to keep your passport handy and as such you would face no problem. Let me know if you require any help with your tour planning and local Srilankan contacts.

It would be more costly to visit srilanka, but if you can afford you should visit. only tourism can help srilankan to recover
