Yes you can go and do spot booking but not during peak days

Triund trek is a relatively easy trek. You do not need a guide and can totally be done by yourself without any guide. The guides might tell you otherwise but do not listen to them. Also, they'll tell you that it takes 5-6 hours to get to the top, which is not true. It should take you maximum 3 hours to get to the top.
