Is the Guindy National Park in Chennai open to the public? We could only get in to the Children’s Park, where the ticket staff said the National Park had been closed since COVID-19.

As of August 2024, the Guindy Children's Park in Chennai has reopened after extensive renovations, featuring new attractions like a children's library and an aviary. However, the main Guindy National Park area remains closed to the public since the COVID-19 pandemic. Visitors currently have access only to the Children's Park section. As of now, the **Guindy National Park** in Chennai remains closed to the public, with access restricted to forest officials.
